Filler: Crappy Poetry
I need to blog, but I am too um… busy at the moment to come up with anything new. Here is some filler until my next one.
Not everyone has seen this stuff so laugh all you want, but I need to put something in here. It is a few crappy poems (if you can call them that) I wrote a long time ago.
Dream Alone
What a dream I have When I open my eyes
And see the beauty I hold
I hope it will last More than just tonight
I shake from the cold
And the heat of your soul Seems to warm me
And the tears from your eyes Rain down on me
And the love in your heart
Will always make me whole
What a dream I have Where we tell no lies
And no souls will be sold
I hope it will last And in your silent cries
The truth will be told
And the strength of your mind Always moves me
And the touch of your hand Forever soothes me
And one look from your eyes
Will deeply cleanse my soul
What a dream I have Then I open my eyes
And see I'm all alone
Moon Light Sun
The Moon rose over the mountains
Casting a surreal blue light upon the valley
It was the first night I held you
And I hoped the moment would last forever
As we kissed touched and clung to one another
The Moon drifted across the desert sky
It dipped below the horizon
And your feelings seemed to wane
Darkness set in and I had trouble seeing you
The Sun rose over the mountains
Casting a harsh white light upon reality
It was the first day without you
And I tried to make the eternity die
As we hurt fought and ran from one another
The Sun burned across the desert sky
You returned carrying the Moon
Frozen Soul
my skies have grown black
my heart's become stone
the ones i loved
no longer my own
my blood now ice
my stare's turned cold
fire that used to heat
has left me
with a frozen soul
Song of Twilight
I was once told of music
Not everyone could hear
A melody so sweet
It would leave you Weeping on the ground
The music was said to come
After the night devours the day
Stars upon a darkened stage
Performing a masterpiece For your heart
Not everyone may attend
This heavenly ball
For the music is played
Only to the lucky ones Captured by love
For many years I tried
And hoped to be a part
But listening alone
I heard only comatose silence dusk until dawn
Then once I wasn't trying
And love embraced me
Filled me with warmth
And I could finally hear The Song of Twilight
Time
No thought of the future
No recollection of the past
Only two people
Sharing, Holding and Loving the present
Cast away dreams of tomorrow
Forget the events of yesterday
And share with me the
Passion, Love And Friendship of today
For all we need
Is each other
And the time we have
Is slipping away
Dad In Me
I just caught a glimpse of myself
In the rearview mirror
And I was reminded of a man I know
The man is handsome and strong
He has a certain kindness
And a laugh that can set a room aglow
Dependable yet not constrictive
His love is powerful
Happy to hold my hand or, if I need, let me go
I check the mirror once again
And realize the image I see
I look like my father, maybe the sideburns should go!
Until Next Time,
Wayne
