Just Campaigning!

WAYNE’S WORDS
Volume 2 Number 07
Just Campaigning!

I left that last blog up a long time, didn’t I? It was such a long one I figured people were reading it in shifts.

Actually I have been very busy out on the campaign trail. You know, kissing hands and shaking babies – your usual campaign crap. I didn’t really have any speaking engagements that were covered by the mainstream media, but the support for this campaign is growing.

I have heard a lot, from the “esteemed” candidates running against me, about “Hope and Change” and “Who The Voters Would Rather Have Answer ‘The Call’ At Three In The Morning.”

Well, first of all. I know who you would rather answer “the call” at 3 A.M. – Wayne! I have a very pleasant voice, especially in the middle of the night. Wink! Wink! Just make sure it is a very sensual phone call. (Do your best Zapp Brannigan impersonation for that one – tee hee)

As far as “Hope and Change” goes I think one thing. It is about time we stop hoping for change and we start making it happen. During the past week I observed two people doing just that.

I saw someone make CHANGE this week.

It was my friend and boss, Vic. Last Tuesday he found out that our local chapter of the Red Cross was to be shut down immediately due to lack of funds (by the way he does NOT work for the Red Cross). Man, did he get hot. He was told that the money wasn’t out there in the community and that there was no choice but to close. I think at that point he may have actually said “HA!” He got them to hold off for one week and with a lot of support and contributions from people and businesses in the community he raised more than $30,000.

Vic did this pretty much single-handedly. He would be the first to tell you that it would not have been possible without the generosity of the businesses and individuals that donated or the volunteers that worked the nine-hour garage sale. The thing is, however, that none of those people would have been able to do it without Vic. If he hadn’t decided to make a CHANGE the Red Cross would be closed today. PS, it stayed open.

I also saw something that gave me HOPE this week.

As most of you know, my 11-year-old boy lives with me. I am very involved with his schooling. I get his assignments from his teacher when I pick him up from school and I sit and tutor him every night. He is very, very smart. I don’t feel that I am coddling by working so closely with him – I am actually fostering the learning process.

Anyway, he does the normal 11-year-old stuff: plays video games, watches the Weather Channel and The Science Channel. Oh? Most kids don’t watch those channels? Well, he does. The other day I was picking him up from school and on his desk was a batch of papers. I starting looking at them and realized that they were not schoolwork or normal schoolboy doodles.

As I looked closer, I came to realize that they were actually pretty detailed schematics. He was working on a design for a magnetic car! The designs were all good looking and sound in their basic physics. The kid is dreaming about getting off the fossil fuel teat and on to something cheaper and cleaner! He told me, when I complimented him on it, that every other scientist has messed with it so it was no big deal. It is a big deal though! 11-year-old kids thinking like this are our HOPE for the future.

So do you hear that Hellery? I am the best to answer the phone – because of my dulcet tones!

Hey Obama! You preach hope and change, but it is all around me every day! You are often judged by the company you keep!

And John McCain….? What? I really wish you were John McClane from DIE HARD.

VOTE 4 WAYNE!!!!

Until Next Time,
Wayne

PS The boy is also designing skateboards and is learning to play Mariachi bass. :)

THIS ONE'S LONG KIDS!

WAYNE’S WORDS

THIS ONE’S LONG, KIDS!

I thank you all for your support, but I really didn’t get any solid suggestions for my running mate in last week’s comments. That is ok though, it is still early and the primaries are not even over yet. I still have time.

I would like to take a little time to share with you an article I read the other day. This article displays exactly what our campaign is up against. We are not up against Obama, Hellery, McCain and Nader (lol). We are up against the voters.

I found this article in a copy of the New York Times that I grabbed out of the recycling bin. I was putting some actual recycling in there when I saw about 50 unread copies of the Times. I KNEW no one read that crap. I absconded with it for entertainment sake.

***FAIRNESS DOCTRINE***FAIRNESS DOCTRINE***

If you want to read the full article in all of its glory, copy and paste this address, it should take you right to it:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/28/us/politics/28race.html?ref=politics

I will take excerpts and then let you know how I feel. You make up you own minds. Don’t listen to and follow me like sheep even though you will quickly realize I am right…blah, blah, blah…

Black Ohioans Backing Clinton Feel the Pressure to Switch By ANDREW JACOBS…

I gotta stop right here. I copied that straight from the article and I noticed that “reporters” are SO important that their names are in all caps! Narcissistic idiots. Shall we continue…

…CLEVELAND — The way Eugene R. Miller was hemming and hawing about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, you would have thought he was trying to sell igloos in the Sahara. … nervously shifting his feet…

Hey Andrew! A reporter is supposed to REPORT what is happening, NOT interpret it! Interpreting is for the Bader Ginsbergs on the Supreme Court when reading the Constitution (please hear my sarcasm here). How colorful and clever you are, but you cannot read minds. Do your job and REPORT. Numbskull.

…Mr. Miller, a state legislator who represents a solidly black wedge of this majority-black city, was standing before a roomful of silver-haired constituents and making a semi-heartfelt pitch for Mrs. Clinton. He talked about her political skills,…

The only political skill Mrs. Clinton has is her Husband. Plus…what happened to Rodham? Funny how she was her own entity and a “successful” woman until she began her bid for the Presidency – now she is MRS. CLINTON. Women’s Rights be damned! Just make sure that you land a “good” man then you can be President. Walk ten steps behind, ladies.

…“I believe in sticking to my word,” he (Mr. Miller) said, adding that he had cast his lot with Mrs. Clinton long before Mr. Obama’s candidacy became viable….

So, Mr. Miller decided to back Mrs. Clinton when it looked like Obama couldn’t win? If he liked Obama he should have backed him! That is what wrong! He wanted to go with the “winner” not the person in whom he most believed and now he is sorry. At least he is sticking to his word… dope.

…black elected officials who are stumping for Mrs. Clinton are nothing if not courageous. … Mr. Miller finds himself besieged by disbelief, disapproval and at times ridicule from blacks who maintain that he is betraying his race.

“Some people call me an Uncle Tom,” said Mr. Miller, … “There’s a lot of pressure to switch sides.”…

Betraying his race? I may get shot for saying this, but these people are racists. Voting FOR or AGAINST a candidate because of their race is …racist. It seems that a lot of people don’t get this. They think it is only racist if you DO NOT vote for someone because of their race (as long as the candidate is a “minority”). If the candidate is white, however you are allowed to hate because of race all you want.

(Mr. Miller Continued) …“There’s a lot of emotion. All I can say is thank God it’s winter and no one is outside, because there would be more than angry words on the street.”…

So, is Mr. Miller suggesting that if it were warmer his constituents would be rioting in the streets because he is backing whitey? Thank God it is too inconvenient to riot when it is cold outside.

…there remain plenty of black voters who say they are standing by Mrs. Clinton. Gale Johnson, 49, a former steelworker who now, as a social worker, earns half her old salary, said Mrs. Clinton was best equipped to turn around the state’s stricken economy….

Mrs. Clinton is not going to fix the economy. It is the economy’s job to fix itself. The consumers, manufacturers, wholesalers, transportation, retailers, etc. We are the economy and we run ourselves. The only thing the government can do is loosen regulations and lower taxes to help the economy and if you think Mrs. Clinton is going to do any of that… Muhuhahaha… you have fallen right into her trap.

…“To me, it’s not about race,” said Ms. Johnson, her jacket festooned with “Hillary” buttons. “It’s about having a president who knows what she’s doing. Besides, I think it’s time for a woman to be president.”…

Goody Mrs. Johnson is not a racist! She is a sexist! It is time for a woman to be President. Would Mrs. Johnson vote for Condoleezza Rice? Probably not since, even though black AND female, she is an evil, war mongering, little people hating conservative. But, she would HAVE to vote for her since it is “time for a woman President!” Knucklehead.

…Then there are those whose loyalty is inseparable from their affection for Mrs. Clinton’s husband. Anita Watkins, 71, a retired nurse, said her devotion to former President Bill Clinton trumped her desire to see a black man in the White House.

“My children are mad at me,” Ms. Watkins said, “but I love Bill Clinton, and that’s who needs my help right now.”…

BILL CLINTON IS NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT!!!!

…the Clintons are counting heavily on a local congresswoman, Stephanie Tubbs Jones…

I stand corrected. I guess the Clintons ARE running for President. Mrs. Watkins was right, Bill does need her help.

…For some Clinton supporters, the heat has been too much to bear. In recent weeks, two black city councilmen, Robert J. White III and Kevin Conwell, have jumped ship to the Obama campaign, saying they could not take the heckling and the scolding stares. At his weekly community meeting at a local library, Mr. Conwell said, a few people wept when he tried to persuade those present to back Mrs. Clinton….

Oh no! They heckled him AND stared! So voting your heart is out if people STARE at you. I cannot believe someone actually WEPT! WEPT!!! REALLY?!?!

…“They said I was on the wrong side of history,” he recalled. “They said I was getting in the way of an African-American becoming president.”…

Racists!

…He was harangued at the barbershop and at the dry cleaner, and calls from the discontented poured into his office….

Heckled, stared at, harangued AND called! This is a travesty! The pressure was too much for me to vote my conscious!

…“I felt like the stepchild of the community,” he said….

So, are you saying being a stepchild is a bad thing. Offspring-ist!!

…Two weeks ago Mr. Conwell gave way.

“Now everyone is patting me on the back,” he said. “It feels good to be loved again.”…

I am not voting for whom I wanted, but at least I am loved. WIMP!!!!

…Laura Richardson, a black freshman congresswoman from California who was unapologetic about her support for Mrs. Clinton. Ms. Richardson said she found that many voters had doubts about Mr. Obama’s job readiness but were embarrassed to say so.

Since when, in the political arena, has anyone been embarrassed to say a candidate wasn’t qualified? Oh, yeah, if you say it now you are a racist. Hmmmmm.

“People need to hear that it’s O.K. to choose the best-qualified person,” she said, “and that they don’t have to feel ashamed or be guilty about that.”

The only thing in this entire article actually worth hearing and it is stuck in paragraph number 24! Who reads that deep into a story? Hello? Is anyone still out there?

At the …Sanctuary Baptist …She (Ms. Richardson) spoke of Mrs. Clinton’s credentials, the importance of ending the war in Iraq and the urgency of electing a president who “doesn’t need a couple of years getting up to speed.”…

Again, what are her credentials?? Oh yeah, Bill.

…Then, as the tease of an organ signified that it was time to wrap up…

I just cannot believe he wrote this sentence! Hilarious! I thought he was supposed to be a serious journalist not a…ME. Tease of an organ… HAHAHAHASNORTHAHAHA …Priceless

“I’m going to challenge you to go home and pray about it, and ask God who would be best for us at this time,” she said. “Let’s trust God to lead us to who that person should be.”

Funny, when a Republican says he prays he is called a mindless zombie. It is ok for Democrats, however, as long as you are campaigning in church!

That is it. I know it was long, but you needed to see it. These are the things that influence people’s votes and they think they are doing the right thing! Vote with your brain not your heart. Base your vote on policies, not party, race, gender, or anything else, but what the candidate is going to do for your country.

That being said…VOTE 4 WAYNE!!!!

Until Next Time,
Wayne
